Shared Levitation Repertoire Workshop

With the help of exercises in different constellations, (duos, trios, small groups and the whole group) we will play with movement, Partnering principles and adapt every time to a new partner and universe – we listen, follow and direct the movement as one functioning organism through space. Our goal is to be awake and present, as well as engage with our whole body, connect to ourselves, the space, the partner and to all the partners inside the space. Contact meets Waterdance Training II

We find freedom, choices and directions in moving towards and away from each other. We experience our spine as an alive, mobile and resilient structure that can support ourselves and others. We explore our soft and strong spine in solo movement and in contact with another body, in water and on land. We explore how the modulation of the tone of the spine serves different situations in relation to gravity and the full or partial weight of another body.Marielle Gerke

Contact meets Waterdance Gathering

In the CI meets Waterdance Gathering we are working with experiential somatic disciplines we explore inner and outer states, discovering where movement arises. With practices to enliven the sense and develop our somatic communication skills, we experiment with movement and touch in a safe, held container. We invite the healing elements of nature into our research through exercises on the beach. Axis Syllabus, Movement Artisans: Flying

The program serves as foundation for new students to the Axis Syllabus or provides a deepening for the more experienced. The two modules are focusing on Anatomy in Motion, functional and context oriented coordination, connective theories and detailed movement exploration. Each module weaves together a matrix of material that is experienced through individual movement research, looping movement patterns, contact improvisation and other dance and athletic forms. Contact meets Waterdance Training I

We experience ourselves as breathing beings that allow their cells, souls and bodies to expand and condense. We explore external and internal breathing and how the breath supports our movement – alone and together, in water and on land. We explore our center and our limbs as well as their relationship to each other through movement and touch as a basic organisational principle of the moving body.
