Lia Pavlidis is a professional dancer, choreographer, and movement coach based in Berlin.
She currently leads the pre-education program Motions Dance Program and works there as an instructor. Lia is teaching workshops around the globe with her own format of Liquid Spine aswell as creative movement, performance and choreography.
She has danced for many international productions, including Daniell Alnuma (France/India), Piny Orichidaceae (Portugal), and Tümay Kilincel (Germany/Turkey).
Additionally she is co-creator, singer, and performer of the berliner band Uschi and the Boobs and is responsible for the choreographic and dramaturgical aspects aswell as she regularly enriches actors and singers in their artistic expression as a movement coach.
At home in her body, she inspires a deep connection in those who witness her move. Amongst her lifelong passions of mastering dances from around the world, Lia is always interested to connect the old with the new.
Educated in Contemporary dance forms, she studied Belly Dance, Rajasthani Gypsy Dance, Afro Carrebean, Qigong, Contact Improvisation, Gaga Technique and fell in love with Dancehall, Hip Hop, and other progressive street styles.
With a wide focus on the emotional, physical and energetic body in general Lia’s curiousity for movement and body language is endless. Her dance is always a soulful, blending fusion with a deep spiritual inner power. And her teaching is always highly esteemed by her students.
