Shivam Bhardwaj is a trained North Indian classical and Dhrupad singer from Delhi. Coming from a family of musicians he started his initial training under his father. He is currently learning music under Padmashri Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar who is a Dhrupad exponent. Shivam has also performed in India and abroad and has achieved many scholarships including Sahitya Kala Parishad scholarship and Sangeet Natak Academy scholarship. He has also sung for the legendary music director ‘A R Rahman’ in the film Ponniyin Selvan – 2 . He has also worked with Lucky Ali as a singer and Persian Setar player at MTV unacademy unwind. Currently he is working with Naadrass (gypsy balkan and world music band ) and with Bollywood Composer and Music Director ‘Salim Merchant’.
Shivam Bhardwaj will be conducting a workshop on Dhrupad ( North Indian Classical Temple Music ) on which he will be focusing on the voice culture, Exercises and compositions.
