Born in Argentina, Gabriel grew up in a family of actors and is surrounded by art since the earliest age. He worked as a photographer, and for ten years as a puppeteer for the prestigious company Etcaetera.
Autodidact and multi-talented artist, he now expresses his heart through dance with Contact Improvisation and Tango, and through music with a groovy funky touch in his singing, bass and guitar playing. Gabriel is also an inspired artisan, building unique and poetic music instruments. His creative touch is best expressed in his home, Casa Barriga. Living human and artistic laboratory, Casa Barriga is a community explorative space, hosting weekly CI jams for four years. Barriga jams are a unique fusion of Contact Improvisation, experimental soundscape and live music, with an openness for groovy beats and sensuality. Casa Barriga already introduced hundreds of people to the magic of Contact Improvisation, and touched many people’s hearts.
